hi guys, i am new to second life, atm i am trying to figure out what second life can do what it cant do. Myself is a programmer, atm i am thinking about the communication between second life and mobile phones. what i am looking for is how can a mobile send some certain data into second life.
i checked the linden scripting language, as i know it is possible to communicate with outside world via http requests and XML-RPC.
let me give u an example, if i am going to program a GPS software on mobile, let me assume i will get a pair of data (x,y) coordinates. is it possible to transfer the data into second life without middle node(for example: web services),personally i want to transfer some real time data.
are there any relevant materials that i can go over with?
any help will be appreciative.
as far as i know, the only available way for me is to send the data from mobile to server and then server send data to second life which is ineffeciency.
well i am totally new to second life, so hopefully some of you can give me some advices on this or maybe some materials which i can have a look.
at last sorry about my poor english
