I opened my inventory today and a bunch of my folders are just empty... normally I'd see an "Item missing from database" error or whatever, but a bunch of my folders are just -empty-... like nothing was ever in them... This includes my Animations, Body Parts, and Calling Cards folders, in addition to a bunch of folders that I made...

And before anyone suggests it, I've cleared my cache, relogged, and searched more than once :P

No words of wisdom here? People have told me that they -might- just randomly reappear within a couple days... but that seems sketchy to me.

your not the only one, someone else lost half their inventory,i had 7000 items 2000 vanished into thin air,3 of those items cost 54000L so you can imagine how much money i lost, support tried something but it did'nt help
Makes one very nervous about spending money on sl when what you buy can just go poof

I'll say... we might be spending only Lindens, but Linden Dollars are worth real money... so items lost = money lost... wish LL would do something...

I know it's probably no consolation right now, but inventory loss is extremely rare. When it does happen, it's usually due to an internal mixup, which eventually sorts itself out.

You've done all you can do on your end, with the cache clears and the searches, so at this point, all you can really do is wait. Sorry there's not a better answer.

In the mean time, definitely file a support ticket, if you haven't already. See what LL has to say.

Well inventory fetching has been really slow for me lately...

When you type a search query in your inventory, does it say "Searching..." or does it say "No matching items found in inventory?" That should indicate whether your viewer thinks it's finished fetching the inventory list or not.

If it says "Searching..." then you may just be waiting while the list is downloaded drop by drop. The typical suggestion is to go to an empty region or somewhere where nothing else is downloading at all, open up your inventory and type ;askljdfasdf in the search box and then just sit still for a while and see if the number of items fetched rises slowly. If it stalls, type something else random in the search box.

It returned a no items found answer...

:x Hey I certainly could be wrong about that bit!

Hmm, if I was in that situation, unable to tell for sure if my inventory's just gone, and unable to get any help by the support system, I would try looking at my inventory with different viewers. AjaxLife.net is reputable and supports inventory... I would see if it showed me more of my inventory than the viewer I was using. But if it didn't, I guess I still wouldn't count out the possibility that it'd fix itself...

I filed a support ticket, they tried something i did what they suggested, cleared cache then logged into a quiet place and stood in place for 5 min while cache loaded, but my items did'nt return
No matter what i try the same amount of items load,2000 less than there used to be,
Inventory loss may be rare but when you see a thousand or so real dollars go poof it makes one think twice before spending any money on sl.
