Startup issue

So I download this magical program called second life, and Windows smackes me with an error message. HARD. I call that a challenge.

Anyway... Aside from chivalry jokes, the error is along the lines of

".... Cant start because of incompatibility with hardware or OS... so on so forth.... Please update divers and do such and such"

Did all that, (im using the omega ati radeon drivers) and it still gives the error and stubbornly refuses to launch.

My graphics card is "Ati mobility hd radeon 2600" And Im running xp, sp3.

Any ideas? ( remember the "aside from jokes" bit where i set aside the jokes? Wasnt a joke. This is a challenge, and windows will... pay. * insert dramatic music here* )

The exact and complete text of the error message would be more useful than one with ellipsis and BS added.

On an question about a reported problem with drivers, it would good to report exactly what drivers you are using, including a version number.

If you are having a problem with Omega drivers, you could try the stock drivers, and if the current ones don't work, you could try older ones.

There is more than one version of Second Life, and you can download old versions. If you do a forum search for "old version" or "old versions" you should be able to find the links.
