Help please!
I'm not at all technically competent so be gentle with me please! I'll try to explain my problem as best I can
Last night I crashed on SL at least 10 times, the same thing the night before too. Every 20-30 minutes I loose the ability to do anything. Although I have always had freezing problems, maybe once or twice a night I would crash, so its never been this bad. I freeze inworld and start running off through buildings or my music stops and I find I can't do anything, I don't actually get thrown out of SL as such, I freeze up. I think its beacuse my internet connection falls over. If I am using just the Internet on its own, with no SL I don't have any problems at all.
To sort the problem I have to close SL, open up the internet, and it tells me that it cannot connect to the Internet. If I turn off my broadband modem and the wireless router that connects a second PC into my modem, turn them back on again, wait 3 minutes then run the Diagnose Connection problem program that appears and it all resets and I can log back into SL and connect to the internet
I have a 20MB broadband connection and since the problem started this badly, the second PC on the line hasn't been connected to the internet. When the second PC is accessing the internet I cannot log into SL.
Does anyone have any ideas what is wrong and what I can do to put it right?
