My man has had a problem for a while with about half his clothing inventory and its frustrating as hell. When he wears certain articles of clothing either all of his skin or its his arms or hands or feet will suddenly turn black or white.....We've checked his settings against my own and they are the same...I do not have this problem...And no its not his computer because I've logged on to his account and thats how it shows up on mine as well...It has to do with SL....We never had this problem before till about a month ago....Any and all suggestions are welcomed.....His name is ShoGun Rikugun.....

This has been popping up on the forums pretty much daily, sounds like he is running an nVidia graphic card with a driver higher than 175.19. From: someone *IF* you have an nVidia graphic card and your driver version is higher than 175.19, then there are 3 possible solutions you can try:
1) Turn off "palletized textures" (Ctrl-Alt-F7), and then rebake. SL won't remember the setting so you will need to do it each login.
2) Install the SL Release Candidate viewer 1.22, in which the problem is supposedly fixed (you can install it in a separate folder so that you can switch back if you don't like it).
3) Uninstall your driver and install 175.19 driver. |
