SL Logged in when actually offline - HELP

Can someone please give me some advice.

My AV is showing as logged in on the SL grid, my friends are sending me IM's and I am receiving notices....however I am not logged in and unable to access my account.

I get a message that says that my account is currently unavailable and will not be available until....usually three minutes time. I then try to log in and am usually not able to. This will go on for sometime, until eventually I am able to get online.

There is obviously something wrong with my close down when I am quitting SL...does anyone know if maybe there are inventory items with bugs that I may have picked up that could be causing this problem?

Or can anyone tell me if they have heard of this before & how to fix it?

Your help would be greatly appreciated as my SL friends think I am online & ignoring their IM's when I'm no online to even get them.

And yes this happens to us all eventually. You are "ghosted"...........SL's servers still show you as online when you are not. It usually clears itself after a few minutes. Sometimes an IM to your avi will force the servers to recognize you are no longer online and get you logged off........but not always (evidently since people are IMing you it's not working for you right now). If you can answer one of those IM's and get someone to push you that will sometimes work too. Or get them to pay your 1 linden.........that has worked for me in the past.

I think LL is doing rolling restarts at this time..........so when it comes time for your region to be restarted that will get you offline.

And last, the normal reason that people get ghosted is you crashed. Did you crash the last time you were on?

As SL believes I am logged in no IM's or Notices are coming through to my email address, therefore I don't know they have been sent and cannot reply to them. Once I do manage to logon my IM's have been capped due to the large amount of them & I don't know who has been trying to contact me until they happen to mention it to me online. Except for one special friend whom I am in contact with outside of SL, the remainder of my friends assume I am being a bitch and just not acknowledging them. This to me is the worst part of this whole problem.

To my knowledge I didn't crash. This problem first began on Saturday - 2 days ago - and has been a constant problem ever since. Every now & then I am able to get online with no problems, however for the most part it takes many attempts to succeed.

My AV has been showing as constantly online for 2days - maybe even longer - even though I have quit SL several times over the 2day period.

I will try to get someone to pay me L$1 as you suggested as IM's to my AV are obviously not doing the trick.
