With the constant change for second life to be geared for increasing alts, land owners could use an update to their system to secure their enviroment from those who make multiple accounts to spread grief.

Why the current system doesn't work.

If you block residents who haven't given payment information but you want your land to be open to those who enjoy second life without giving payment information but tired of alts, well that doesn't work.

Block according to no age verification? If someone is unwilling to submit their CC info then that would mean they have no incentive on a majority basis to verify themselves as adults.

Also there is a freebie that blocks people according to their SL rez date but that doesn't really work considering people have been making alts for years.

It appears that with these two options, not many land owners that want an open public setting for those who want to enjoy the community aspect of second life have a real option to weed out abusive alts.

If you tackle one alt, then the person can just make another.

What would make sense to keep up with the current times is to give land owners rights to ban a person's ip address just like a messageboard EXCEPT for privacy concerns don't allow land owners to be able to view that person's IP address as that could also be abused.

I'm sure people will come in defense of their alts (hah) but it isn't about you or against you if you are just using your alts for other than attacking others or abusing.
