1.2 Preview turns off ALL my display options (lighting, object bump, et al), and says that it has set the recommended options for my computer. My computer is supposedly really good so I don't understand why SL recomends I turn everything off?

My computer is a Vapochill with:

Processor: 2.4c ghz p4
Memory: 1024 ram
Video: Abit FX 5600 Ultra OTES
(with abit motherboard)

(these are the parts that matter right?)

This should be good enough to warrant at least object bump or cloth & avatar bump right?

Crank 'em up.

In the preview, anyways, I get great framerates.

I think the 'recommended' settings might be the ones that Linden Lab's has decided on for stability reasons, not performance reasons.

If they work, leave 'em on.
