Building problem, prims disappear in the thin air

When I rez a prim, it disappears after approximately 1 minute. It's not returned to inventory, it simply disappears in the air without any notice.

I've tried it both on land where I'm a member of the owner group (and which have plenty of unused prims) and in various sandboxes, and the same happens. I didn't have this problem before, it started only this week.

I made this extra account to see if the problem was with the account, but the problem is still there. Is this a client issue? I use Emerald and I'm a Mac user.

Update: Just logged in on the regular SL client and everything worked fine, so I guess this is Emerald-specific. I'm going to reinstall it now.

For the record: I re-installed Emerald and the problem is still there.

Disappears? It gets deleted? Fades to 100% transparent? Flies away?

It disappears completely. No notice, and it's not found in the inventory.

The discussion maybe should be continued at http://modularsystems.sl/index.php?option=com_agora&task=topic&id=1348&Itemid=2

This happens on non-scripted prims?

First thing I'd do is probably check that it's not somehow getting set to be a temporary prim. Maybe leave the edit floater open on it and seeing if you can spot some more info on what's happening when it poofs..

Yes, completely basic prims.

It was checked as temporary, thanks for pointing out that possibility. But I have no idea why, how can I make sure new prims are not checked as temporary by default?

They should not be temp by default. Even if I wanted to make prims temp by default, I would have no idea how to do it.

You should update your post at the Emerald forums. Maybe somebody there has seen this before..

"Is Emerald Preferences - Build - the setting "temporary" checked? If so, uncheck it."

Weird.

Glad it's working now!
