I don't see anyone else with the problem, so I hope this may bring a few out of the woodwork.
Since Streaming tunes started I lag like when I first joined 1 1/4 yrs ago. All areas I go to are pegged in the red on the scales (pkg loss, kbs, etc) . I know logically audiostreams should not affect me this way, so I'm looking for someone who has experienced this too, and what was the fix? Greatly appreciated responses, I am

I logged on as a resident on 31Jun04, and had little/no problem with lag - and that was a Saturday. Since about Tuesday morning, 03Aug04, I have been getting *awful* lag and cannot figure out why. I've set my preferences for faster settings, but this doesn't seem to change anything. People, I'm getting *really* frustrated here - I want to go out and *enjoy* SL!
I'm on a Sony Vaio laptop I purchased in Dec03, and here are my stats:

Well, I have been getting problems where I suddenly start to 'bounce' endlessly, and have to restart, and also where I suddenly get stuck, and cannot talk or move.
I have noticed that this seems to happen when I am flying and suddenly hit an audio stream. I'm not sure there's a real connexion, but it's happened often enough to make me wonder.
Incidentally, this is the first version of sl where I have experienced any problems like this.

Also lagging badly

I've also started to lag badly. And it's not just when I'm flying about, either. I sat idle in one place and was talking with someone, and my messages would have up to a ten minute delay in being registered and visable.
I increased my allowed bandwith, and it didn't seem to help.
