I just found out my account was deleted due to me switching to a free account. They said they couldnt bill me and purged my account with all my bought and created items.

Now, Im guessing that over a couple years, its around 100-200 dollars (USD) worth of items I have bought in game, not including all my created items. (I was a paying member for years)

Whats worse, is they made me pay 10 bux to get my name back, telling me to open a ticket if my inventory is gone.

Wow, I feel really scammed by Linden Labs. Its basically, FU loser, we could care less.

I wonder if they will delete this post. Quick google says they dont care about users on many sites.

That's an unusual circumstance, I think. I've switched three accounts from premium back to basic and never experienced the problem that you had.

Exactly, and since i never changed my banking account information no idea why they couldnt bill me.

Did you downgrade to a free account while your account was still in good standing, or did your account have a problem with billing and you decided to then go down to a free account while leaving a bill due to LL?

Downgraded my account, and cashed out extra lindens. Never expected my account to be deleted.
