you didnt mention the screen size but heres an alternative http://www.ibuypower.com/ibp/store/configurator.aspx?mid=302my only beef with the one you listed is the cpu, 667 mhz fsb? 1.8 ghz ? id go for faster

I'm with Osgeld on this. I'd aim for 2.4 ghz at least. I haven't rebuilt mine for awhile but I was aiming for 3.0 ghz a few months ago and almost got it with over clocking.

Thanks for answering guys. The reason why this looked so good was the price tag, $950 US. The newer model is around $400 more.
I don't think the laptop is bad at all as far as what I get for the price. The Vista 64 does concern me though because I have heard horror stories regarding it.

I ended up buying this laptop when the price went down to $714.00 US. So far it is kicking SL's ass.
