Will that 'alpha bug' ever get fixed? SL seems to spend so much time trying to "add" things to the program, how about fixing some of the old stuff before graduating to newer technology?

Thanks..... (fears that this will fall upon deaf ears/eyes)

I agree, so much basic stuff to fix. But SL is philosophy is as much as better. So quality seems not to be important. I mean i'm not saying that SL is all junk, it's an amazing 3D platform. But it's really weird that basic stuff like the alpha texture are not fixed yet...having windlight in first look viewer.

Alpha Bug - Windlight

I haven't tried windlight, I have enough problems in the regular client with frequent "freezing", the alpha bug, crashing every time I empty trash.... things which may seem trivial to SL, but are important to little avies like me. Is the alpha but problem also apparent in windlight?

My philosophy: if it's not broken, don't fix it.... if it's broken, fix it before moving on

oh my that would make too much since wouldnt it

the "alpha bug" does exist in pretty much every other video game out there, but since most of the core of the engine is still based around 1999 builds it really hits us hard

so you get the effect any and everywhere, whereas on modern systems you really have to hit a exact angle have the planets inline and do a funny dance to even catch a a flicker
