I get this error message when I try to put the game in full-screen 1600x1200. This is my native resolution, and when I run the game windowed I run it at 1600x1144 with no issues. Other resolutions work, but they don't look as nice on my monitor (it's a largeish CRT).

I run XP SP3, and my game version is whatever the newest Release Candidate is. :p

Anyone had this happen to them, or know a workaround?

are you really noticing those extra 56 pixels on a crt?

seriously, if you had a lcd with a fixed pixel resolution id understand, it might look a tad (very tad) waxy because of stretch

but a crt? 56 pixels in 1 axis?

what your probably seeing is your crt fuzzing out adding some analog AA effect, be happy your getting that high on a crt, my wifes fairly new 21 inch viewsonic starts to look fuzzy to me at 1280x1024, she swears its "razor sharp" i tell her to look at my (fairly old) 21 inch lcd, theres the end of that discussion

Huh, nope, this doesn't really have to do with the extra pixels. I just find full-screen to be more immersive, and to have slightly better performance.

I have some problems with fullscreen, due to my specific display resolution.

However I feel I experience the best immersion by hiding the user interface - you can do this by enabling Advanced menu (CTRL ALT D or CTRL ALT SHIFT D) and then pressing CTRL ALT F1 (same shortcut for showing the user interface again).

BTW, this shortcut cannot be used on Linux systems - this is going to be fixed by changing this (and possibly others) shortcuts in the (hopefully near) future.

user interface hidden + fullscreen + SpaceNavigator on Flycam mode = total SL immersion
