Usually, I don't update my drivers for my 9700 Pro until I've read a few posts from people who say they've downloaded it and it works okay. Anyone? Anyone? Please don't make me be the first.

seems the same as the 4.6's aka abit less stable than the 4.5's were.. overall those seem to be the 'ideal' drivers for SL

Although it's not quite a Big Deal yet, I've been hanging back on updating my Catalyst driver upgrade for two minor revs (4.6, 4.7) now because of instability.
What is the official status of this; does ATI or Linden acknowledge the problem, and when can we expect a fix either in Catalyst or the SL client?

I'm on the 4.6 driver, and with the recent update to the software, I am having a LOT of corruption of textures again, especially with water. It just displays the rainbow colours; but only if I've been working in and out of the edit window/texture window.
Dan asked me if the 4.7 caused this problem from my bug report; and I didn't even know 4.7 was out or if anyone had tested it.
I'll try installing it tomorrow night. (Right after I find the CD with the 4.5/6 drive on it for backup.)

I can confirm 4.7 cleared up at least two separate texture corruption problems. - Radeon 9500

Thank you. I appreciate the comments. And yes, when swimming... I'm usually the last one in the pool. I figure if there's sharks or snapping turtles, better your toes than mine.
