Hi Everyone!

I'm fairly new to SL and when I am able to get on.. I'm havin a blast!

I'm really hopin someone will be able to help me sort out these issues.. ya'll seem to be sooooo knowledgable!

Firstly,

We have 2 pc's. Both physically capable to run SL based on the info I've read. Right sound card and speeds etc. One is running Vista, the other XP. We have turbo cable internet and a very fast connection.

We both however experience the same errors and problems

Log in and freezing issues:

Multiple times throughout a day I recieve region errors telling me they've shut down the region and to try again. Is this a normal thing?

More often than that, I simply freeze up. Sometimes on the initial connection, clothes still loading and then.. blur and nothingness and I'm frozen. Other times, loads up, and all I can do is turn but can't walk. And, other times, can be moving right along and all of a sudden, I can't stop moving and I walk right out into space and have to shut down.

Those seem to be our individual problems with connecting and staying connecting.

Now, onto the next issue (haha.. we have more than enough)!

We can not log in at the same time with our 2 different accounts (one of us on each pc). We've managed to be logged in simultaniously for a 1/2 hour or so max at one time but normally, if one is on, the other will freeze up and can't continue or both of us lock up.

Any help would be sooooo appreciated! Thanks!

I'm not very technical, so not sure if my answer is correct. But, from what I've experienced myself on SL, it sounds like it may be your broadband. I would think that's why one of you would be fine, and the other can't be connected. My husband and I each use a PC at home on a wireless router connected to a cable modem. His is the "main" computer. If I'm on by myself I have far less problems with freezing, etc, than when he is on also. Usually, if I'm going to crash, it will be when he is on SL at the same time. Also, if he starts a video in SL, I freeze for about 3-5 minutes no matter where I'm at. I don't even have to be on the same Sim as he is.

In my mind, most of your problems might be related to your broadband. Also, make sure all your drivers are updated.

Of course, I could be completely off base in which case someone will probably come along with the correct answer. ;)
