This is the second weird 'group glitch' i have seen today. Earlier today I saw a vote pop up out of nowhere on the fantasy beach trying to eject sky zircon, and nobody knew who staretd the vote. then later this evening, when i reconnected, lo and behold, i see a vote request for /my/ group, trying to eject me as the officer (i'm the founder, and the only one! i sure as hell didnt vote myself out!) Nobody else voted, i sure as hell didnt vote. and before the vote was even really taken, it had already bumpoed me down to member instead of where i was before. Either something screwed up, or you guys have an exploit somewhere, and somebodys having fun with it. And for once, its not a bug on /MY/ end! Yay! Also, i'd like my group back. Like, ASAP, please.

Yes, this is happening to several groups. Nexus Nash was removed as officer of The Source. And no one in the group voted for that!

We've know for awhile that there are bugs that will randomly reject members, as well has serious problems with the vote feature of groups.

LL's database is fried.
I'm going to start backing up all my scripts. I wouldn't put it past them to wipe the slate clean at this point.

This has happened to several groups the last few days. What's worse is that the group is locked, and it's not possible to add new members until the voting is over. And that can take up to 7 days, according to a Linden. We have already been locked for a few days now.
Even having the group officer leave the group, didn't stop the recall voting process, so there's no way for us to stop it, or even see who started the recall. Neither can Linden stop it, they say.
This is SERIOUS and needs to be taken care of IMMEDIATELY.

This has been true since 1.1, as far as I know, it's by design. The group function just randomly holds recalls. I believe it was coded that way, because I've been seeing random 'recalls' ever since 1.1.

It IS a bug,at least is was confirmed as one by a Linden.
But it can have as many recalls as it want as long as I can STOP them.
We have not been able to add new members to our group for several days now !!!

Well my group is still completely screwed now, no officers, locked up, etc.
And if that is a 'feature', somebody needs a good hard smack with a sack full of common sense.
Why in gods name would you want to auto-eject the /only/ officer from a group? I mean duh? It has to be a bug, nobody's /that/ stupid. Something like this would be beyond my ability to comprehend as a 'feature'.
I'm still waiting to hear anything out of a linden over this getting fixed. Patch came out since this happened, no fixes listed. Group still screwed. No email, no Im's, no phone calls from lindens about my report.
I'm beginning to become displeased with this. I'd at least like to hear from a linden on this reguard. Is it a bug, will the groups effected roll back? Will a linden jump on and fix it for me? CAN/WILL they fix it?
I'v been hearing horror storys and gripes about this all /over/ the place in world since it started happening.
I just want my stupid little group back, because its a part of my fun, and now part of my fun is broken. :-/

I think they want us to live with a sense of adventure. I don't know. Or they just don't want groups to stay static for too long.
It'd kinda suck on our end, because if an officer was kicked out of Luskwood, suddenly we'd have a serious land and allocation issue.

The random "Recall Election" messages people get are merely a bug in the group system that occasionally claims to have run a recall election on someone who leaves a group. It can be a member, it can be an officer, but it's when that player -voluntarily- leaves the group that the "Recall Election" message fires.
Having officers bumped out of officer space is a new bug.

'fixed'

Alright, I got my group back, somebody who was evacuated due to a hurricane logged in today and managed to get their vote in to /not/ eject me, was the last person left in the group.
I then put my co-worker down as the other officer of the group /just in case/ this ever happens again.
And michi is right, i'm glad as all hell i didnt have my land set to group at the time, or i WOULD be lighting up phones and emails and god knows what else i could to get ahold of.
Thats not a light bug, it should be addressed. It has the potential to make some serious problems. o_o
