When I click to edit my poseball, I have to adjust the Z axis every time I use it, in order to raise it off the floor. How can I permanently set the z axis? I tried checking the box marked "lock", but that doesn't seem to do it.

You cannot Nikki.

It needs to be adjusted for each avatar that sits there.

What do you mean every time you use it?

Not when others use it, but when you use it?

Have you checked inside the ball for a configuration file?

Well, I rez the poseball on the floor, right? Every time I rez it, it's literally on the floor. So I right click on it, select "edit", and adjust the Z axis until it's raised to a satisfactory level. When I'm done with it I right click on it, select "take", and it goes back into my inventory. The next time I rez it, it's back on the floor again, so I have to adjust the Z axis again.

There are actually two balls in the set. But they're linked together, I think, because when I raise one, they both raise

Anyway, when I right click on the poseball, I then click "edit", which opens this big grey window with several tabs, one of which is labeled "content". Under that content tab there's a list of stuff, including "poseball configuration". When i click on that, it opens a whole new window that shows a few things, like the name of the ball, etc. It also has " offset: <0,0,-.5> "

Is that what you're talking about?

Yikes.

Yes i was talking about that configuration file, but do not edit it just yet.

Your problem is because you are re-rezzing your pose balls every time you use them, therefore they need to be adjusted.

There is no work around for that.

Use a poseball hud. Sinimatic makes a good girl/girl pose ball hud that i use. I just wont buy the individual animations any more because of the configuration editing required.

Edit to add: "re-rezzing" means taking them out of your inventory each time you wish to use them instead of leaving them 'rezzed" in world.

approximately six months ago i gave you a script that does just that; forces objects to rez at a fixed height over the floor/ground. it was intended as a way to have furni employing cut cylinders and such to rez at the expected height.
that being said, a hud is the way to go for this purpose.
