I have been having a problem inworld where when I wear a skirt (not prim), it disappears. I have many outfits I can't wear because they have the clothing skirt as well as the prim skirt. Any suggestions on what I can do to fix this? I have cleared my cache (daily for the last 2 weeks, 2-3 times a day). Now I know about the rebaking textures when either the clothing or my skin is a missing image, is there some trick to make a item of clothing show up after it disappears? Has anyone else experienced this problem? I know I should report it as a bug, but I hate the process it takes just to report them. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

It is fixed in RC 8, yes. You might have to go into the advanced menu, under character, and choose "rebake textures" to fix any previously disappeared skirts though.

Try making sure "basic shaders" is checked.
I have had this problem and this works for me, if basic shaders is unchecked then I can ONLY see skirts in appearance mode.
Unfortunately I have a graphic issue with builds that include the glow feature, I normally have basic shaders checked but have to uncheck at times due to graphical issues with glow.
This should work until the new viewer is released.

We thought it had to do with the basic shaders too, but we just kept rebake textures and it fixed itself after doing it some time. (So basic shaders can be unchecked)
