I hope someone can help me. After the patch I logged in and found the world a much different looking place!!

Going to try to link some screenshots:

http://f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/jsrose99@prodigy.net

hope that works. ( EDIT -- Yes it does work, but I guess I didnt put them in the correct folder, click around in the OTHER album and you can see them. Sorry, first time I used it ) I also added some pics as attachments at the bottom of the post.

Anyway, the area in the immediate area, maybe 10 feet or so, looks ok, after that the ground is a featureless brown. Buildings, water, sky and ground look a solid monotone.

What other album? If I go to "All albums" I only get one link, back to the empty album. :-/

Edit: OK, I finished reading the rest of your edit, and looked at the attached snapshot.

I don't know what to tell you, though. Obviously, the textures aren't being rendered on the land/water. And, just as obviously, the non-landscape textures are rendering properly. :-/

Have you tried dumping your cache and logging back in? Or completely uninstall and reinstall SL. It seems to me as though the client is either missing the textures that it's supposed to render for the landscape, or it has them and just doesn't know what to do with them.

I would think that if it were a hardware problem, the other textures probably wouldn't be rendering, either.

As for Jellin, I have the same video card and saw the same thing. My fix was to go into the NVIDIA Media Center \\Performace and Quality Settings\\Image Settings and make sure it was set to Quality.

Nyna, you should try dumping your cache too. If you are running in full screen, try windowed mode.
