I seem to be having problems logging in, to be more specific..
i start the game, when the account screen comes up i enter my details and press "Connect", then the loading screen comes up and it says "connecting to user server etc..."
but when the green bar gets half way across and it says "precaching" i get an error msg saying theres something wrong with newview.exe

any help please?

Sorry to hear that Max. If you haven't already contacted Tech Support directly, that would be my first suggestion. The best way is to use the Ask a Question tab in the Knowledge Base.

Off the top of my head, this sounds like either file corruption; or lack of adequate disk space; or interference from a firewall or anti-virus program. Some things you could try, if you haven't already:

Disable firewall and anti-virus programs before running SL.
In Preferences, reduce your disk cache size to 50mb.
Try uninstalling, then reinstalling SL.
