A mini is not powerful enough.

Maybe you can use a remote desktop app like VNC. You run SL on your desktop, and then browse to it from your netbook.

Take a look at this post:

In short, the official drivers from Inel lack OpenGL support. Boy Lane has a possible workaround.

The Mini 10 has GMA500 graphics not developed by Intel (Mini 10v has GMA945 that works). Intel's driver does not include OpenGL support required by SL and therefore doesn't work. There are 3rd party drivers around that supposedly add the missing functionality. Have a look at this:
http://my.opera.com/boylane/blog/gma500-driver-with-quot-forgotten-quot-opengl-for-netbooks/

Results are mixed, and I could not test it myself because I don't have such machine. Please give it a shot and report back on my blog. This place here is shut down very soon.

Slow is the best you can hope for. Boy Lane's Rainbow Viewer or another pre-Windlight viewer will help, and you can go into Preferences and set everything under Graphics Options to the lowest setting if it is not already there.
