All clothing I wear below the belt (pants, socks etc) will not texture - they just stay white

It is the same for the bottom half of the avatar's skin as well

I've tried rebake and left the machine to rez for atleast 30 minutes - rezzing in the area has been very slow over the last week - I have also cleared my cache - any ideas (polite ones)?

aside from testing in a new region, I can't think of what else to do. Dumping and rebaking are all I know of too. But sometimes some regions do load much slower than others.

Nope - others also see me, even when naked, as having white everything below the belt line - I've tried other regions, I tried other skins, I tried other cloths, I've stood there like a dork for 30 minutes. Other can change their clothes etc and no problem, but me I'm the proverbial snowman below the belt.

I've tried changing appearances (sometimes in the past I've seen that done to force rezz) but to no avail - damn annoying.

In the beta grid everything is OK.

===============

Seems to have something to do with my NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT video card drivers - quite a few comments about it on the net - no fixes though - I've rolled back to the old drivers and after a few minutes I became coloured again! - thanks for your help

This is an issue that will be solved by SL once version 1.22 of viewer is made available. IT is now out as a release candidate which you can download now at SecondLife.com. If you want to wait for "real" version, you can do this for the time being. Once you login , do the three key combo of control-alt-D. This will put an Advanced tab at the top tool bar next to Help tab. Then select Advanced, then "Rendering",then features,then UNCHECK "palletized textures". That will do it.You may have to then do 3 key combo of control-alt-R for a rebake. Your clothes and skin will then be OK and normal again. Note that you will have to reset this each time you log in. But it does work, and the next viewer will permanately fix this issue. If you have any questions, send me an IM inworld and I will reply when I can.
