I have an issue where it seems a few sims/ lands are not registering or recognising my presence that sim. It is as if the sim/ land doesn't 'see' me and this affects some applications and HUDs on my avatar.
When I use for example the hug/kiss HUD, or any other HUD which sends requests from my avi to another, then I get their respective blue menus in the top of my screen, but in these places they do not contain my name. For example, if the hug/ kiss HUD would normally read... "Anan Eebus's HUD would like to give you a hug", then in sims where there is a problem it read without my name, as.... " 's HUD would like to give you a hug".
As this happens with all HUDs this is a big problem, as some HUDs i use are central to my RP in SL and mean I am in some ways disabled.
I know this isn't sim settings by design, and I know it isn't my avatar having tested and scanned both things over and over. It seems that when I am on the land where it doesn't work my name isn't getting sent in the header of the communication to an application/ HUD.
I have been told maybe its do to with web servers linked to those sims in SL. But this doesn't solve my problem. Has this happened to anyone else, similar maybe, and does anyone have any ideas on cause and solutions?
