This is Day 3 for me in SL. Love the game but am a bit frustrated. Every day the game will crash 2 or 3 times and instantly reboot my system. It does not seem to be during any certain action and the is no difference in performance level before it happens. It seems random, but has happened every day. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Any possible solutions?

System:
AMD T-bird 1.33ghz, 512ddr, Geforce 4 420mx, Cable modem, Win XP.

i had the same thing happen to me twice. i didn't quite know how to phrase the problem nor was i sure that whether it was the game causing the reboot or my system but i was chatting with someone when my computer just restarted all on its own.

P4 1.7, geForce 4 4200, 256mb, win xp, dsl.

Reboots

I have recently started noticing system hang ups in Unreal 2003 as well. The only change I have made was setting my AGP transfer rate to 4x. Maybe a Gefore 4 420mx is only 2x. Ill have to look into that. Anyway Ive set it back to 2x and Im going to see if the problem persists. Any other ideas?

you system could hang on graphics intense programs if you were trying to access your vid card faster than it was meant to.

However I did think the MX 4xx series were 4x compatable, but I could be wrong.

Changed back to 2x agp transfer and the reboot still got me tonight. Is there anyway to view an error log. the log file I looked at didnt show any error messages.
