Get the nVidia card. I had that ATI 9250 a couple years ago and it worked on SL but was loosing ground quite rapidly as SL introduced more features. It might work still but I'm sure it would be struggling very badly.
The nVidia 8000 series has a pretty good record of playing nicely with SL.

What Peggy said. Between those two, the Nvidia. The ATI will suck, bad.
You can buy an Nvidia 8600GT for less than $50, and it will serve you well for SL.
You can just sneak a 512MB Nvidia 8800GT or 9800GT in at your $100 budget. Those things are made out of awesome, and are smokin' fast.

Get an Nvidia 8600, not 8500 (!). It works perfectly fine with Secondlife. Everything else is a waste of money if you don't play the newest games. Important, use driver version 175.19 (not newer) or you run in texture loading problems.

If you can up your budget $15, this would be my pick: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133205$115 for a 512MB GeForce 8800 is a heck of a deal.

Someone's selling a radeon 9200 PCI (not PCI-E)? The first question is: what kind of video slot does your computer have? The options are: PCI-E (best) AGP PCI (worst) If your video card is plain PCI you will not be happy no matter what.
