any of them "should" run sl
I personally loathe Dell, but if I were to guide you in a direction, I'd recommend anything with an Nvidia graphics card. For some reason, lately, anything ATI is not running second life.
*was 3. supposed to be 9600?

No, 3 is 9800 from Dell catalog. I'm going with Dell as I have significant discount from work. Thanks for the feedback.

From: Travelan Ramer No, 3 is 9800 from Dell catalog. I'm going with Dell as I have significant discount from work. Thanks for the feedback. That'll probably be your best bet. If you go with the XPS 630i, try the www.my630i.com. They have some useful information that helped me. FYI - There are some issues with the 630i concerning the PCIX lane limitation and some people have trouble controlling the LED lights on the case. Supposidly Dell restricted the number of PCIX lanes to 18 so the 2 PCIX slots only run at x8 instead of x16. However, some real world testing revealed it shouldn't make a significant amount of difference in game performance. Don't get too excited about Second Life with your new Dell. While you can kick some of the video settings higher, it's still a dynamic 3D environment so it's not going to be completely smooth but they are better than my P4 2.8 with ATI 1600. BTW, I went to the Dell Outlet and got my system for almost half the prices of a newly configured PC.
