When I run SL I get this message. "Unable to run because your video card drivers are out of date or unsupported" I have looked through the Knowledge Base and found loads of support but none of the fix seem to work for me. iv also made a support ticket (about 2 months ago) that no one has answered. I was only able to access the forum because I logged on my laptop last night. Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.8GHz Memory: 1536MB RAM Video Card: Radeon X1650 Pro My graphics card is updated and I have tried reinstalling the drivers loads of times http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=xp/radeonx-xpBtw I think that's a silly idea making people log on SL before they can actually go on to the forums. it should be at least made so you can see but cant post.

You might need to
1. uninstall your current video drivers 2. run a driver cleaner program like Driver Cleaner Pro, making sure not to delete anything other than what you really want to delete 3. restart computer 4. turn down offers from the operating system to install drivers 5. install the latest driver from ati.com, nvidia.com, intel.com, or for some laptops, your computer manufacturer's site, or in some (many) cases, older drivers known to work such as nVidia 175.16 or 175.19
Many folks report problems that are solved when they include the "run a driver cleaner" step.
Driver Cleaner Professional is a ten dollar driver cleaner and Drive Sweeper is a free one.
What version of Catalyst are you using?
What operating system and service pack?

Have you tried older versions of Catalyst? What are the fixes you have tried that didn't work? Have you filed a report in the Public Issue Tracker system, aka Jira? It's at http://jira.secondlife.com . There is Help info on how to use it. Also, since you are new here, if you are using Firefox, Chrome, Flock and maybe IE7, and are using the Greasemonkey script that let's you see normal forum formatted text properly, you might want to install it, it will make using this forum much much nicer. There's a stickied thread at the top of the Resident Answers forum that describes how.

Might be some old settings, you did not write if you had a SL viewer installed on the same machine before.
Please try to run secondlife.exe with the --noprobe switch. That will disable automatic hardware detection. You can also start it with --safe which will reset your preferences.
