Changing Language Setup RC1.20

Does anyone know how to change the language setup on the new release candidate.

On install you are given the option of languages, selecting English makes no difference because for some reason it defaults to German.

I am running Vista in German but this has never made any difference on previous installations of Second Life when selecting English its always installed in English.

Or is this a fault of this particular candidate?

Yes, they changed how it works for 1.20.

If the installer isn't choosing correctly, see what the language is in the General tab of preferences, maybe it is still set to the default there?

You can still change the language in the preferences. At the tab "Allgemein" you find a box to choose the language. After that you have to restart the SL viewer.

I have changed the language back to English using preferences but the RC itself defaults to the language of the operating system regardless of what is chosen on the install.

I am checking the Jira and there are some tickets raised about this.

I see in the wiki that 1.20 final is apparently coming out tomorrow (or even later today), hopefully they have this fixed because the issue is mentioned in there (with preferences being the way to fix it).

So why do we get the option of selecting the language on install? It no longer works and just defaults the OS language.

Also, for new members that are not familiar with the SL interface how the hell will they know where to look and what to look for and change?

I have already seen existing members confused and not sure of what to change or do.

Is this going to be made public in the knowledge base/Support?
