NEED HELP with sound issues

My friend lost sound in SL. Video media plays and sound works but music streams and all other sounds like typing, gestures... the usual everyday sounds.... dont work.

Any ideas?

Your friend needs to check the master mixer settings in the viewer it sounds like they've accidentally muted something.
