So I'm trying to log my main avatar in and I'm literally stuck on the loggin page with the bar up only a 1/4 inch. Not moving... just sitting there. So I tested to make sure my connection is fine and logged in an Alt I use for RP.... logged in just fine.
Any ideas on what the problem could be?

You might try logging in at a different sim.

Hmm, I just checked the SL status page: From: someone Isolated Login issues Posted by Status Desk on December 2nd, 2009 at 02:15 pm PST
We are currently experiencing login issues for some residents. If you have tried to login and find that it stalls at the Loading bar, you should consider that account as affected by this issue. We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible and will update this blog post once we have further information.

Premium Support?
12-04-2009 17:36
Well..
Just to update on the situation:
Ever since the individual login problems, I haven't been able to play. I've missed 2 rather important gigs I was giving, and the birthday of my loved one (Which was one of the important gigs.)
I joined a support chat right after the issues where solved, and I was told to refresh cache, and reinstall SL. Kinda the 101 for me to do. I do both steps almost weekly.
After that, I was told to sent in a support ticket, because they needed more information. I directly opened the ticket, and was actually amazed to see a reply within 30 minutes.
The ticket increased in sized rapidly as we went through numerous checks to see where the problem was.
After a "pathping" command in CMD (to see the route the internet follows from your PC, to the login servers), we found out it was a server from my ISP - or so we thought.
I called my ISP, and..nothing was wrong. I called a friend, and asked him to come and bring his laptop. We installed SL, and logged in - WIRELESS (I'm wired.) No issues at all.
Directly afterwards, I did alot of different speed and connection checks on various sites and tools, and even opened up games and connected to multiplayer servers in every corner of the world.
I reopened the ticket, and explained that to LL. A hour later, they replied with "We will send you to another department, expect a reply shortly."
20 hours later and I'm somewhat frustrated.
I know - It's only been 40 hours since the problems started, and I'm usually rather patient. But I paid for my subscription, and don't like to break promises. (I promised to turn music at the parties)
Anyone who has ANY solutions as to how I can solve my problem, it will be greatly appreciated!

Your friend's laptop logging in from your network sort of steers all the problems you are experiencing directly at your computer. Everything you've done so far has been trouble shooting at SL, SL's viewer or you ISP...........and you've pretty much proven none of that is at the source. Now that you've done that it's time to trouble the only two components left........your computer and your computer set up. No one here can help you since we know absolutely nothing about your computer or your setup.........solutions are not possible without that information. One thing that is generic that can be done that MAY (not to be confuse with even the word likely......it's merely one thing you have not told us you've done that is always a good thing to do if you reinstall your SL viewer) solve your problem. Download a fresh SL viewer from the site for the viewer of your choice. Then uninstall your SL viewer again.......then before you reinstall do a file search on your computer (if you have files hidden, unhide them) for any file or folder pretaining to SL or Second Life........manually delete all of them. Reinstall your freshly downloaded viewer (you might want to disable your antivirus since you have been having problems that may be related to an AV issue). Launch SL and see if it works.

Hey
Thanks for the help. When I reinstalled SL, I did a manual search for files and deleted them all.
As for my computer, Even though the problem must be there somewhere, the strange thing is, I've never had problems running SL in my current configuration.

well since you a paying customer here is a better solution click on the 24 hour live support button (all premium accounts have 24 hour live support). if you dont not a premium account see if one of your friends is and have them go through the process. btw sl all yesterday and they day before even some today has been having lots of problems with pretty much there whole system (crappy system=crappy performance) anyways this could be your issue if it is sadly only thing you can do is wait

thanks LL! That's what the support ticket says in the first solution! I already tried that!!! Pft, did all that, still get stuck at connecting to region.. Now I just got the message: "This region may experience Trouble. Please check your internet connection." Nothing wrong with my internet connection, as I have no problem writing this now. I have rebooted, repaired local network, etc.. And it worked fine an hour ago, relogged cause I had some problems with a script and now I can't get back in. I was able to log in with an alt, so it's a problem with my account, damn. I'm not using my alt, I need to get my real avatar to be able to log in, I have a lot of stuff I need to do, and I still haven't found any info about this on the grid status page

From: SuezanneC Baskerville I have no idea where you found that information, I've read the the grid status page several time, word by word, and I can't fint that, no matter how many times I read the page.
