Database issues critical since last Saturday?

I have been getting "object missing from database" when I attempt to wear clothing assets for the past four days, even for brand new objects like the skin for the recently released sugar glider avatar. I also attempt to open a box or edit an object and nothing happens... the object is shown as empty, no contents, even if I rez a new box and create a new script in it. Concurrency doesn't seem particularly high, and I haven't seen anything announced on the status blog. Anyone else getting this?

I think it's part of a nefarious campaign against mustelids!

There is something dodgy going on with the asset servers, though. My gf kept trying to wear a new dress. She would see it on her av, but I would see whatever she'd been wearing previously. This happened for about two days, but yesterday I finally did see the new dress.

Also yesterday, I took off an outfit and put on a new one, and after giving it time to rez and then some, teleported to another sim. Folks there told me I had no pants on. Wearing different pants fixed that, fortunately.

But these symptoms don't sound like what you're experiencing.

i am having exactly the same problem with sone of my items too. spoke with the vendor not much help still cant rez the damn item its getting really annoying now.

yes ive been getting this message for several months now its easily resolved to

teleport to a different simulator region and attach said object
if object fails to attach, its probably now failing due to pending object for attachment point
restart at last location
if failed again try another sim and repeat process until you find a sim that can attach the object



Im thinking some sims develope communication issues with the asset server with time, the admin of the island sims I used to reside at would do a regular weekly restart on the sim and ive never seen such issues, one day 2 of the island sims they managed failed to start backup and they had to submit a support ticket to get them started again, since then theyve been paranoid about regular restarts and ive been noticing her sims have been having this problem on occasion now that she no longer does that

Tried that, but it's still giving me the database error, and I can wear other shapes. This is a bigger problem for shapes and skins and clothing assets, not so much attachments... I didn't think sims had to download those.

But I'll give that a test, maybe in one of the empty Linden Ocean sims.

If that's it, then since Saturday there's suddenly been a LOT Of sims with network problems all of a sudden. And they're network problems that don't effect other people's outfits.
