Oh dear.... Not again.....

Friday evening (UK) can't Teleport anywhere, and dares not try and do any transactions/build anything for fear of it going missing.

Saturday night (Yesterday) Teleporters down again and also dangerous to do anything for fear of loosing things (whichI did)

Now again tonight (Sunday) evening, Teleporters are down and drag things to the groud of open box's (to be copied to your inventory) and things just disaapear.

Not looking good :(

I've already had to IM two people I bought things off to apologise and ask for fresh copies to be sent as they have never appeared.

A rule of thumb I use is to look at the users concurrently logged in when I get to my log in screen (or check the website) and if it is within about 5,000 users of the point in which SL seems to start having server issues I just take care on what I do...........if I want to build then I'll wait. Shop, I'll wait. Anything that I might do that will require a transaction or rezzing I figure there is a good chance that something could go wrong. Right now, that number appears to be about 65,000...........so when it gets to 60,000 I know it's time to be careful.

That magic number used to be 10,000............so things are getting better. Believe it or not. :)

Isn't this normal when it comes to Linden Labs? They never fix problem, they just SAY that they do and then they expect us to belive that. Then the same problem pops up again after an hour or a day.
This is starting to look like April all over again. Night after night and no one at Linden even cares to explain. AND USE YOUR BLOG DAMMIT! Tell us what the hell is going on. Don't come with the same bullshit "OPS are working on the problem" when in fact someone obvious don't know what the hell they do.

And send out notice to In World EARLY and not after hours like yesterday. Jesus Christ, isn't it time soon that Linden Labs starts acting like a company? When i was 13 we have a magazine in school that were run by us kids. We took more responsibility for our customers then Linden Labs does.

The only thing that never fails is when Linden wants the tiers to be paid. That seem to be the only thing is this lethal system that really works

How long has computerized billing been around? 20 years? 30 years? Or just 5 years? :) Billing from data bases has been more or less perfected (more or less because there are still issues on occassion). LL has taken on a huge challenge with creating a virtual world like SL.........it's way in it's infancy. You can't throw money at it to fix it......it takes technology. Buy new servers that work perfectly fine with technology from last year......fail miserably today. Hardware, code, technology all have to be developed to fix the problems........as of now I don't think they've been fully developed. In fact, I'm sure of it.

Let's use the present energy crisis we have in the US. Everyone knows things need to change (be fixed). People take a very simplistic attitude about solar, wind, geo-thermal development. All those sources are viable.......and even promising. But can we do it right now? If you toss billions (or trillions) of dollars at it will it make it work? No, it will not......those sources have to be developed.........technology. Technology does not happen overnight.........it often takes years to develop. You cannot fix something till you have the proper tools to fix it. LL is working to fix it.......they are developing the technology to fix it with. It won't be fixed tomorrow, next week, next month or next year......but it will improve. Slowly, I'm afraid.

How would you like it if 10k concurrent users brought the grid to it's knees? It used to.......now it's 65k. That is improvement.

might be in the same boat as me, if using windows goto run, cmd, tracert secondlife.com

Above.net and level3.net, the two massive networks before hitting SL's servers have had some time outs all weekend long making teleporting (and much of anything else) impossible. Is a real nuisance.

What would be nice is if Linded popped up an on screen message AS SOON AS they realise there is a problem. Warning people about transactions and moving items about may lead to loss.

Rather than after we have all been suffering from it for the past 2 or 3 hours and THEN get the warning message.
