I was clearing out hard drive space, and I came across 3 GB of dbz files in Library/Application Support/Second Life/Cache.
I'm guessing that all those 500 meg files aren't required, and I deleted them.
What causes this? Is it from crashes? Is there any way to avoid it other than to check the Cache folder regularly?

It appears that uninstallation on the Mac version does not clear out the cache files in the App Support directory. This can add up quickly, especially if you're running 1000mb cache on both the main and preview grids.
Please bug report it if you can, I don't use the Mac version enough to remember. Thanks.
