So occasionally SL would crash while I play it and I would try to log back into the game and a message would pop up saying to wait until 07-31-2009 at 17:32 to log in. And that was an hour. I know they intend for it to do that and I may be in the wrong section of the forums but will someone please tell me the purpose of that and if there's anything I can do to stop it.

Nothing you can do about it.
Do you have an alt?
it has been mentioned on the forums that if you message your stuck account with an alt it may cause it to disconnect.
Did not work for me.
The region you crashed in may need to be restarted to free your account up.

Changing the log in from My Home to Last Location or vice versa often gets me past those messages, even when the last location was at my Home spot. Doesn't always work, but worth a try.
