soooo i have the latest version of quicktime... can watch movies and stuff on it if i'm not on sl... no problem there... but when i try to watch a movie or video on the tv in my house i can not see or hear it.... all my settings seem to be correct.. any ideas?????

Without more details about your system, it is hard to diagnosis a problem.
However, just yesterday, 24NOV08, Quicktime sent out an update, and I found that my SL @home tv would no longer work. I uninstalled Quicktime, downloaded the full version and installed. Then ensured that is was an exception in my firewall. All is ok now, as of 11:40 SL time 25NOV08.

The problem with the last Quicktime update was that it didn't launch Quicktime after the install and it has to be launched to be enabled. In Windows parlance, so that "Windows can configure Quicktime".
