Ambat sim down for extended period of time. Again.
I'm not usualy one to pick about this type of thing but it has become a real problem latly.
I understand that SL is a game to most people, however for those of us who run a business in SL, lost uptime is lost income. And on weekends it is even more painful for a business. Which of course seems to be when most down time happens.
If a particular service can not be provided as advertised then maybe clients should not be charged for something they are not recieving.
Technically land is simply a website. If a website provider is not able to keep a specific uptime requirment, then they usualy compensate.
Im not saying that each time a sim crashes that it is hurting much. But stack one crash behind another and by the end of the month it adds up.
I would say more than 30% of the time I personally spend in sl is dealing with either a crash, lack of ability, lost communication, or some other 'technical difficulty'.
This is far more down time than most of us are comfortable with and definitly not an enviorment any business is willing invest much time in.
This is not only lost income. This is lost time for development as well.
We should not need to schedual work around SL uptime.
My question is how does LL deal with compensaton now?
If at all.
