Cache Error

Seems like a UUID code (dsf file) is broken and keeps popping up on my desktop saying its broken and cannot be read. its annoying as hell. Its in my Cache folder but I cant find it. Whats the issue and how do I fix it?

I'd try clearing your cache and see if that makes the problem go away.

I did. Says error in C:/$Mft file when I try to clear the cache.

It sounds like you have an actual file system or unrepairable hard disk error that happens to include this file.

Use your operating system's disk verification tools to resolve this.

You may need to copy the entire file system to a new partition to resolve this, which may require third party tools.

You might try running chkdsk /F , at least if it's Win XP.

Was that the complete exact error message, "error in C:/$Mft"?

Then I'd be looking for advice like Argent's and thinking about how to back up all your data.

delete your sl cache folder you can find its location in the preference clear cache command it has the directory to it .. its hidden
