Loss of system sounds?

just upgraded the client tonight on the powerbook, after not having used it for a while, and I have found all system sounds like typing, clicks etc have gone.

is this just me?

silly q, but did you check your system prefrences, and sl client prefrences for their sound settings?

I have had similar issues. I am still snooping about trying to see if I can find a fix.
