When attempting to edit my user profile to update the
"Location: Where you live" field. It does not 'take'. I have edited it several times over several days, and it will not accept the text I type for that field (San Jose).
I have not checked other edit fields for this problem. But this field does not work for me (yet I see many users posts which contain their location data).
The only other recent change I made was to update my email address (which required re-verification via email), and it worked.

i have a problem with my profile too. i can't find a link to edit it anywhere except when it says i'm browing a forum. i can click my name and see my profile but when i click at the bottom to edit it i get a message that i'm not authorized. it still shows i'm logged in as me tho.

Actually I have that exact that same problem! When I click on my name at the bottom of the home page, then click on 'User Options', I too get:

I thought there used to be a the ability to click on my name at the top right of the Forums home page to edit your profile (but I guess I must have seen it in a dream).
But I found a way in! If you click on 'Private Messages' on the Forums home page (bottom left of page). You are then given a page where you can click on 'Edit Profile'. That is how I got back into edit (attempt to edit) my profile.

...if you look in the Forum Jump drop down menu at the bottom of the page, you should find 'Private Messages' and 'User Control Panel' (i.e. edit profile  ) in there. I can't get my location to stick either... |
