Okay I have tried Almost everything now. I know A lot I mean LOT of peps were havin this issue with crashes and the forms it takes are just as many as RL diseases-Errr thats bad-
So far there has been one insedent were one person had a crash and it fried her Graphics card; another couldn't stay more then 2 minutes in the game with out a crash; plus every one I have heard from over team speak and such talked about crashes; then of course I had smooth sailing...........until BOOM I crashed and I have been stuck out ever since; I relize I posted in the first tech Support forum but it kinda turned into a disscussion on what a crapty graphics card I have for the beauty of SL-yet still. As far as I know my issues are It gets stuck on loading region and just sticks there. Hopefuly Maybe getting a few resolved may help lighten the load and give a clue as to what the Crashes are coming from- I really really hope THat a linden can help since it seems to be more of a SL prob rather then everyones comps

I am Very thankful *whip crack* *smile* JK lol

One common suggestion to fix this behavior is to remove your SL cache. Apparently, the easiest way to do this is to completely uninstall your secondlife client and then reinstall it fresh from the download package.

Alternately, assuming you're on a PC and SecondLife (newview.exe) is not currently running, go to:

\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\Application Data\SecondLife

from here, delete the subdirectory named 'cache' -- this may help.

This is physically impossible. If her graphics card died, that would cause a crash though. The point is, correlation does not equal causation. You can't break a video card in software.

As for your problem, what hardware are you running? What's your make, model and specs of your motherboard, CPU, RAM and video card? What versions of the drivers for each are you running? What version of Windows or DirectX?

Oh, you did post your machine specs in the other thread.

What make and model of motherboard and video card do you have? What kind of power supply do you have? Is your video card cooled adequately? Is your CPU overclocked? What is your RAM running at? How many modules of RAM do you have, and in what combinations?

If you can't access your email and are having network troubles, might I suggest that this could be the cause of your problems with SL as well? You seem to be able to access the web fine. Are you using the same computer as the one you use for SL?

Have you EVER had SL work properly? What is the error that happens? Does your computer crash? Does it just restart? Does SL just exit? Are there any error messages when starting SL? If so, what do they say? Are they about your drivers being out of date?

Yes I am using the same Computer but a different browser so I can't access my e-mail- the only errors were with the internet browser-the internet still works just not the browser-go figure- SL has been working Wonderfuly except since that crash since then it just as soon as it starts loading it stops on "loading region" I can still quit form it but I can't get into the game. I have literally tried everything I think now - This is such a bummer.

If you can't email the Lindens, register a "throwaway" email account with Hotmail or Yahoo or some similar service and email support@secondlife.com from there. It sounds like your computer's really messed up, so the issue may be outside the scope of their support.

Your best option would likely to be to reinstall Windows, to be honest.

Failing that, what is the error you get when you try to use your web browser? Which web browser doesn't work? IE, I assume? Which one are you using in its place?

Getting stuck on Loading Region can be indicitive of a network issue, or an issue with how your network is configured on your computer. If your MSN browser that you usually use is messed up, I would highly suggest getting in contact with MSN support and getting that up and running. Fixing that may fix whatever is causing your SL problems. You might even try contacting who you bought the computer from.

The other option is the AGP drivers. These are motherboard drivers and why everyoen is asking what your motherboard is. If you don't even know what your motherboard is then its pretty sure you havn't updated the AGP drivers. AGP is how your computer talks to your graphics card and it is very important for SL that the drivers for AGP be up to date. You should be able to contact whomever you got the computer from to find out:
Motherboard Make
Motherboard Model
Motherboard Chipset

If you tell people on this forum the first two they can usually figure out the third and point you to the file you need to download / run etc to update your AGP drivers.

OKay I found the Sheet I think this is the right one it was in a box among many- My computer is a VPR Matrix

Motherboard: Full ATX Motherboard w/533 MHz FSB
Model #LAD845EBTV1

I believe the motherboard was made by Intel- As far as talking with MSN I did that they said prolly to fix the problem I would have to call the maker and have them wipe and reformat the WHOLE computer-so I think I will wait can't really afford that at all barely afford the game as it is.
