okey i got this bug now for couple days.... and its pissing me off!
now my problem is... that things that i wear like a pants/socks/bootbase all kinds of things that goes onto my legs.... the skin will turn BLACK... and some clothes do work fine other don't .... and the next day the things that didn't work do work again but other don't work anymore and some still don't work at all... i have done ALOT to fix it myself...

I have a Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS and downloaden the lastest drivers...
reinstalled the lastest vieuwer couple times...
detach everything thats on me and changed skin/body/eyes/base EVERYTHING...
cleaned my computer of everything if that had might be the case but nothing works.. asked couple friends to with other things to try but nothing helps...

and the clothes that have the problems never tested all my clothes but the clothes that i wear atm are clothes i have for ages without problems... and suddenly out of nowhere they screw up.... and people tell me to delete the stuff... or contact the creator but i know that doesn't help at all.. + deleting stuff is not an option... i payed for those clothes and is a big waist to delete clothes that i like and payed for + not everyone has all the money in the world... so i cant just rebuy the clothes noway...

now i really wanna know how i can FIX this! anyone please....

You likely need, not newer, but older drivers.
1.175.16 works.

After changing drivers you'll need to rebake.

First find a driver and d/l it onto your desktop so you can find it easily.
Uninstall your drivers, reboot, and install the new drivers.
Adjust your settings.

Things will look funky when you have the drivers uninstalled, but you still SEE - it isn't like the screen goes black.

I've had similar issues with some clothing & the latest Nvidia drivers.

Disable the Used Palletized Textures option. I think that's CTRL-ALT-F7, or it's under the Advanced menu->Rendering-> Features. CTRL-ALT-D brings the advanced menu up if you don't see it.

Then rebake ( CTRL-ALT-R). If that doesn't work, go to appearance, and edit the item. You may need to adjust the item and put the slider back where it was. That's taken care of it for me.

You might try the Release Candidate viewer, I believe they've addressed this bug in it.

This has been an issue for quite awhile. It's marked as a critical bug but no alot has been resolved on it. Rolling back the driver is a band-aid for the problem. Totally not a fix. I myself am getting abit ticked about it, as it not helping sales of my clothing any. Who wants to buy a shirt that will make your legs go white or wear shoes that turn your legs black. It would be nice to get an update on what is being done to resolve this issue.

It's fixed in the Release Candidate. Unless LL un-fixes it, it should no longer be an issue in the next version of the viewer.
