I read about speed issues with openspace sims and scripts. (compaired the a full morning sim)
But what I don't knw is, do they run slower be defualt or only if there are a lot of people running things at the same time?
So would your onw private opensapce always run slower (scripts) than they would run on mainland?

You'll be interested in the tests Wildefire Walcott did on this. /327/ad/272219/1.html"Typical" is about 1/3 the performance of a regular sim.

In the case of scripts it's always slower. For other metrics it depends.

Thanks for the replies.
I guess I did wonder as if you think how massivly populated the mainland can see (houses every 512sqm potentally) the machines at linden would be heaving under the strain of running the 100s or 1000's of potential scripts on one mainland sim
whereas on an open space there may only be a few running in comparison.
Re the whar happens if others on the same CPU as your openspace exists are running lots of scripts.
Is there anything you can do to bump your opensapce to a faster area on lindens machines?
