I was just on second life a second ago when it crashed and now i am getting login failed.

Your avatar might be ghosted; SL forgot about it and doesn't know that it's offline. Can you have a friend send that avatar an IM? Or can you login as an alt and send the ghosted avatar an IM? Or you could wait a few minutes...  |

I have not been able to login for about a day now. The message I get is "your account is being logged out and won't be available until...." My husband can log into his account and it looks as though I am online. He can IM my AV and give her things but these messages come up in email as though I am not logged in.
Any insight on this problem will be helpful.

You can contact LL support and have them log you out of the system; your avatar is "ghosted" and the system has forgotten about it. Once they've kicked you out, wait a few minutes, then try logging in again.

Thank you for your advice. After getting no response here had my hubby go to help island and they suggested the same thing so I did. Since I had nothing else to do I went and read up on the issue tracker and contacting support was the only way to get this rectified which they did this morning.
