Full black skin..

my freind just got on SL and no matter what she does her avatars body shows up as full black, when we change the avatar to a diferent shape it shows the skin, but in about 3 seconds after saving, the body turns back to black.. we have tried other skins, it has nothing to do with the comp, we tried on like 3 comps and on every one it does this, none of my acounts do this and skins show up for her on other people, but on her avatar everyone sees it as black.. any ideas?

wear a "blank" av, relog, clear cache, relog, log in, wait, change avatar to something else, ctrl-alt-r to force avatar rebake texture.

other things;
make sure he use the main monitor if he's on several as opengl hates dualscreen on some vid cards, set enable opengl vertex buffers on/off to see if that does anything in preference / graphics

get his vid card info, if its a intel he's pretty much doomed,...err her , yay i least got one thing right.


Usually happens when cache on the client mess up, vid card unsupported, opengl vertex mess up, or you run SL on multiple monitors since some vid cards dont like that you get black avatar or random wierdness (tried it myself, i got black legs and hands on my avatar ~.~ wee)

Oh guess i forgot driver version to old, or to new apperantly SL dont like that either O_o
