Not sure how technical this question is, but its regarding the nature of SL roads, so I guess its technical enough. Why are SL roads designated 'no build' areas. Is this simply to keep someone from building a wall or something to obstruct the road? They seem to have an auto-return on, which would mean such an obstruction would be temporary. I've always tended to simply rez my car in somebodies yard and then drive into the street. But this always seemed so 'trespassy'. " DUDE, YER LEAKING OIL IN MY DRIVEWAY!" So, if we have Linden roads, why not Linden 'driveways' where we can rez our vehicles.

/me votes to have them be autoreturn with rez enabled. Much easier to get a vehicle going that way...

I have Vehicle rezzing platforms on my land open to the public on 2 continents, so I guess rezzing vehicles enabled would be bad for the bugger all business I have from the service

Don't forget to keep Jira'ing superbjorked sim crossings and incomplete roads, and AR those damn trees LL has let grow in the road

I used to keep my driveway open to rezzing (even if it was on a timer) when I owned a curbside in Ravenglass for several years. Its quite neighborly. I wandered up and down the street in several mainland sims looking for a place to rez my car recently, and it actually took quite a while to find a spot.

Yes, well I keep my 2 platforms open at $5L for 24 hours use with 2 minute timers, just need to get some decent volume happening

I wonder if part of the reason they haven't really addressed this yet is because mainland is so ginormous and there's so many LL parcels to looks at..

This would make a good bot project. Something that looked at the whole mainland and generated a list of slurls that are owned by LL but that do not have the consistant settings.
