Here are a couple of things: Make sure you're running the latest version of Direct X (9.0a, I think)... that might help. You can get it here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.aspxI don't know if you'll be able to get a ATI Rage Mobility to run Second Life... it may be too low on video ram. Per ATI's website: "RAGE MOBILITY M1 also includes 8MB of memory..." "...the RAGE MOBILITY 128 allows for up to 16MB..." Listed system requirements for Second Life include: Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 2, GeForce 3 or GeForce 4 GPU, 32MB RAM ATi cards Models 8000 through 9500 will also work Do you have access to a system with a newer video card? I'm no expert here, maybe someone knows a way to tweak a Rage Mobility to run it, perhaps with the lowest settings? Hope that helps, I'll see if I can find anything else... -Sphereon Nomad "A Sphere is an infinite construct."

Try using the Catalyst 3.1 driver.

Hey, Stardust - Sorry to have to tell you this, but it's very unlikely that you'll be able to get Second Life to run on your current video board. Second Life is a very graphics intensive application, and we take advantage of many of the benefits of modern graphics hardware - in particular, hardware transform and lighting, multitexturing, lots of texture memory and AGP bus support. The ATI Rage Mobility is unfortunately not powerful enough. I've tried to get it to run on a lark (I have a laptop with the chip), but it failed spectacularly. But now you have an excuse to buy new hardware! And isn't that always a good thing? - Doug
