Avatar Problem..

I crashed the other day and when I relogged into SL, my avatars body shape and clothes wont load. I'm naked and it wont let me edit clothes until my body shape loads. I cant go inpublic cuz that would be rude, but I want to be able to put clothes on but I cant. Ne IDeas?

this ususally is resolved after a few logins. I once tried a different viewer ( windlight) and I was ok again. No scientific proof I know. And hey, I was not only naked but also ruthed..

Hi Drugz, welcome to the forums! Your avatar may have gotten messed up ... it sometimes helps to start over from a new default one. Fortunately, this is easy. First make sure you have a copy of your shape, and you know the name of it, your skin, and your eyes. Take off all attachments and clothes.

Then bring up the Client menu (on your top toolbar - if you don't see toolbar choices for "Client" and "Server", press ctrl-alt-shift-d). Then choose Client > Character > Character Tests > Test male (or female). Now relog. You should have a default avatar. Put on your shape, skin, eyes and everything else, and you should look exactly as you used to.

If that doesn't work, then try deleting your local cache. On XP this is at C:\Documents and Settings\<your userid>\Application Data\SecondLife. Then relog. You will have to reset your preferences.
