I've terraformed and redone my sim about 2 weeks ago, when going to the map view to see what my sim looks like it still views as the old layout, (not just me had friends look at it as well) is there some kind of trick or something i need to do on my end to get it on map view with the new updated terraforming i've done? Just seems like 2 weeks is a long time for something to show correctly on map view...

It takes time, it only gets updated every so often. It will eventualy, but we can't really tell you when.
