I have an iMac 333mhz with 288mb of memory and I'm running OS X.2.8; there's no chance of me qualifying to be an Alpha- or Beta-tester is there?

Heh, even on my 1ghz iMac, I'm getting 10FPS when lucky. First off, you NEED Panther right now -- Jaguar just has the client start and then quickly crash.

You should get one of those new 20" iMacs, they look sweet ;)

Do the new iMacs have a fast enough graphics card for SL?

I'm running on a 17" 1Ghz Powerbook G4. I get from 15 fps down to 2, and it drops from there if I play long enough. It tends to average, on a fresh connection, about 6 or 7.

A shopping list of bugs and obviously noot-yet-finished things:

Texture alignment is all kinds of messed up. My prim-constructed head is a sight NOT to see.

Mapping Alt to Option is standard, but so is remapping many of window's control keys to command. I know this will change, but wanted to comment on it. Right now, though, the modifier keys are both in the wrong places for PC-SL-trained reflexes, and wrong for Mac-trained reflexes. I'm always hitting the wrong buttons now

Framerate. Ya. They'll optimize later, I'm sure.

I can see myself in mouselook. Slightly disconcerting, especially when the springiness is set high. Turn that down to minimum if you spend a lot of time in mouselook.

I'll add to this list and suggest we all do, that are using the alpha. :)
